2024 Acura RLX Design Exterior Interior Engine And Release Date

2024 Acura RLX. Acura, Honda’s premium arm, launches the RLX Sport in 2024 in an effort to revive the once-famous athletic reputation of the luxury automaker. The 2024 Acura RLX is a positive stride for the firm, especially given the high-performance Type S badge and how it appears in early concept images. The high-performance version will include a turbocharged V-6 engine, while the powerful turbocharged four-cylinder engine will be standard.
All Acuras come standard with SH-AWD, the company’s custom all-wheel drive system designed to improve handling. New struts and a more complex chassis have improved the car’s ride and handling compared to the previous version. Acura is redesigning the interior of the RLX for the 2024 model year to better compete with luxury sedans like the BMW 3 Series and Cadillac CT5.
2024 Acura RLX Redesign
Acura’s best-selling sedan, the RLX Sport, will get a new exterior for the 2024 model year. During development, the new series was named the “Seven-Second Knockout” to denote the company’s goal of making it more attractive to use than its predecessors. The dimensions of length, width and height of this sports sedan give it a more impressive appearance while driving. The chassis has been revamped with a new powertrain and SH-AWD system.
A iteration of the legendary Type S from the 2008 TL isn’t the only rumor about Acura’s future use of the legendary Type S name. If you look around, you can get big savings on the 2024 RLX. One of the many advantages: For the sake of efficiency, we’ll opt for the Basic plan. We stuck with the standard 18-inch wheels included with the base model rather than upgrading to the more expensive Advance or A-Spec packages.

The cost will increase by $7,550 if you choose not to do either because both cannot be done at the same time. There are a number of goodies included with the Technology package, such as 19-inch wheels, genuine leather upholstery, driver aids, and electrical upgrades, but we don’t think it’s worth the extra $4,500. Get the SH-AWD system for an extra $2,000; It’s worth it thanks to the increased all-weather comfort and traction it provides.
2024 Acura RLX Interior Rumors
The interior of the 2024 Acura RLX Sport is designed expressly to express the vehicle’s sporty nature. Some examples include the rotary knob for selecting the exact drive mode (among several others) and the beautiful analog gauges. Compared to its predecessors, the RLX’s refined cabin is a shining example of Acura’s prowess as a car manufacturer.
The sedan’s cabin offers passengers plenty of space, both front and rear. However, when compared to vehicles in the same price range, the rear seats seem cramped. The moving dashboard and good forward visibility compensate for this. The RLX’s interior is supremely luxurious, with a wealth of customizable finishes and high-quality fixtures and tools. The second is equipped with a head-up display and an ambient lighting system that can be dimmed with modes such as “Pacific Coast” and “Suzuka,” named after popular driving destinations and race tracks, respectively.
Most of the capabilities of the RLX’s entertainment system are controlled by touching the touchpad on the center console. You can also use the buttons on the wheel or other controls near the touchpad to perform certain tasks. Underneath the touchpad, there is a comfortable place to rest your wrists. The RLX has Wi-Fi and supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for mobile app connectivity. The most expensive Advance package includes a wireless charging pad and the best ELS sound system.

2024 Acura RLX Powertrain Specification Performance
The 2024 Acura RLX Sport comes standard with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine making 272 horsepower and a 10-speed automatic transmission. When the front tires lose traction or control, Acura’s optional all-wheel drive system (called SH-AWD) sends power to the rear wheels. Our test vehicle’s top speed is limited by the two tons loaded into it. The Honda Accord 2.0T we also tested has less power but is lighter and can reach 60 mph faster (5.9 seconds).
Acura hasn’t made a sports sedan in a while, but the RLX more than makes up for it with well-tuned chassis and fun driving dynamics. With a 355-hp turbo 3.0-liter V-6, quick-release 10-speed automatic, SH-AWD, and sport suspension, the Type S is a fine example of this philosophy. Summer tires and lighter 20-inch wheels make the RLX more maneuverable than the standard RLX. The first time we drove the car, we noted that the engine was powerful, fun to run, had good body control and stopped quickly and reliably.

It’s not as fast as, say, the Audi S4, and it has a solid ride that doesn’t absorb bumps in the road. The EPA claims that the front-wheel-drive RLX can achieve 22 mpg city and 31 mpg highway. With SH-AWD installed, gas mileage drops to 21/29 mpg city/highway.
The Acura’s performance is on par with front-wheel-drive competitors like the Volkswagen Arteon. However, the 3 Series gets better gas mileage because of its standard four-cylinder engine and all-wheel drive. The RLX Type S gets 19 mpg city and 25 mpg highway, according to EPA ratings. Up to this point, we’d only tested the base model, which we found scored 30 mpg on our highway fuel economy at 75 mph.
2024 Acura RLX Release date
Only the most expensive 2024 Acura RLX (with Technology Package) is available as the sporty RLX Spec-S. Manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $54,900, not including $995 shipping to your location.
