2023 Ford Everest. Drivers from many different countries don’t want to part with a nice SUV, despite the great crossover craze that has just taken the automotive industry by storm. This especially applies to the Australian market, where utility and off-road performance are still prioritized well above comfort and convenience. It is therefore not surprising that the 2023 Ford Everest has a completely new look. This fall is predicted to see the release of a new model.
This redesign will bring a lot of new things. While the overall design will be based on the updated T6 platform, we’ll be looking at a completely new design, both from a mechanical and aesthetic point of view. On top of that, Blue Oval has prepared new powertrain options, along with a new cabin design, new tech features and more. Apart from Australia, the all-new Ford Everest 2023 will be offered in markets like Thailand, China, India, South Africa, etc.
2023 Ford Everest Design
As mentioned earlier, this redesign will bring a lot of new things. First of all, the new 2023 Ford Everest will continue to use the old T6 platform and again, most parts will be shared with the Ranger, which will also be completely redesigned for next year. However, the familiar platform does not mean that we will not see important updates. This mainly refers to the chassis and suspension settings, which will provide much better ride quality than before, without sacrificing off-road performance and overall utility.
Of course, this redesign will also bring a whole new style. The new generation is presented and you can see what a classic SUV looks like, which is not much different from the previous generation. However, the front end is completely new and looks very much like the new Ranger. It’s also worth noting that the new model has slightly larger dimensions, including a 2-inch longer wheelbase.
2023 Ford Everest Interior
Of course, this new design also introduces an all-new interior. Compared to the previous model, everything looks much more upscale. The dashboard looks nicer and also uses higher quality materials. You can also see plenty of new technology features, including a new extra-large infotainment screen, along with a digital instrument cluster.
In addition to being of much better quality, the longer wheelbase should allow for a bit more room inside. This is especially true of the third row of seats, which should provide a little more legroom. Also, the cargo area should provide a little more space. On the other hand, the first and second row seats should not make any major changes in this aspect.
2023 Ford Everest Engine
Big changes are coming under the hood. The 2023 Ford Everest will drop a nifty 3.2-liter turbodiesel. Instead, the base model will come with a familiar 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel, developing around 154 kW of power and 500 Nm of torque. The engine is combined with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Also, there’s a new 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6, which powered the F-150 until recently. The engine generates around 184 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque. Just like the turbo-four unit, this unit is also paired with a 10-speed automatic. Either way, the maximum towing capacity will be around 3,500 kg.
2023 Ford Everest Feature
As we just mentioned, the 2023 Ford Everest will bring a lot of new features. All models will come with an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. Also, the base model will have a 10.1-inch touchscreen, while the larger 12.0-inch unit will be reserved for higher trim levels. Another major novelty is that the steering wheel will finally have height and reach adjustment, compared to the previous generation which featured only a tilt unit.
This new model will also come with many new safety features, including 9 airbags. You can also count on new collision avoidance systems like Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
2023 Ford Everest Release Date And Price
We expect a new generation to hit the market this fall. The 2023 Ford Everest Australian model will have a starting price of around $53,000. The main competitors are such models as Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and so on.
