2021 Mazda MX-30 Review – Design, Engine, Release date and Price
The all-new 2021 Mazda MX-30 is the company’s first fully electric car. The upcoming crossover debuted at the Tokyo Motor Show 2019. It is a semi-compact model with a sharp design and a very modern look. The 2021 Mazda MX-30 comes with a coupe-like roof line and the interior is technically rich. You will find many standard amenities and safety aids.
Mazda says the crossover will connect with a 35.5 kWh Li-ion battery and a motor installed in the front. Starting at less than $ 40,000, this crossover will arrive in Europe first. In addition, the MX-30 will strike merchants in the United States. Sometime in 2021.
2021 Mazda MX-30 comes with a modern and sporty design
2021 Mazda MX-30 is the all-new business model. In addition, Mazda is working on a fully electric prototype for the first time. In terms of dimensions, the MX-30 is similar to the CX-3 and CX-30 models. As always, Mazda will strive to deliver delicate design with an elegant look. We have to admit that the new MX-30 looks impressive. The overall impression is that the MX-30 really looks like the CX-30. It comes with a long cap and inclined roof line.
The dark roof looks great and the pillars provide a sporty look. In addition, a steep sloped rear window adds a wing, another sporty braid. The charging port is located behind the right rear door. As for the doors, Japanese manufacturers will offer “free” doors, such as the RX-8. They work in almost the same way as suicide doors.
2021 Mazda MX-30 Interior features
2021 Mazda MX-30 cabin looks very modern. The interior uses many natural materials. This includes cork and a breathable fabric cap made from recycled plastic bottles. The second row is narrow, while the front seats provide plenty of legroom and head space. We love the floating center console, which provides storage space behind the touch screen. The same touch screen can be used to control the climate.
The cargo space isn’t generous, but it does offer comparable area numbers on the CX-3 crossover. Mazda will no doubt offer many driver assistance and safety aids. No need to worry about the technology in the cab, the MX-30 offers it all. Some jobs are optional, of course.
2021 Mazda MX-30 Complete electric drive system, charging, driving range
According to Mazda, the new MX-30 comes with only one electric motor. It is also installed under the hood at the front. This means that 2021 Mazda MX-30 will be a front-wheel drive crossover. No information about horse power has been announced yet. You can also charge a new model on standard AC power and faster DC chargers.
Driving range is another mystery. However, we expect a competitive range that can be compared to a Chevy Bolt EV or Hyundai Kona Electric. This means that we can expect a range of approximately 250 miles. Kona Electric and Bolt EV offer approximately 120 megapixels. The upcoming MX-30 should yield comparable numbers.
