2021 Lexus RX Review – Design, Engine, Release date and Price

Tuesday, February 25th, 2020 - Lexus

Upcoming 2021 Lexus RX models will bring many standard features. The Lexus RX 350 and RX 450 Hour Edition are the most popular mid-size luxury SUVs on the Lexus line-up. Moreover, the new SUV will be redesigned, and Lexus’ primary mission is to make it more competitive. Therefore, we can expect many new features, more quality and technologies inside.

Like previous models, new models will be equipped with the same engine options. However, we expect better outputs and even fuel efficiency. The hybrid model remains the best option, and provides excellent value for money invested.

2021 Lexus RX Exterior comes with a slight refreshment

2021 Lexus RX design is engraved and distinctive. Its design is unique in the market. Although there are no more refreshments, this model continues to offer the same bold grid and impressive LED headlights. The manufacturer makes dark C columns to give a more successful effect and to give a floating roof look.

On the other hand, the RX L models are 4.3 inches longer than the standard two-row RX, so it’s hard to pinpoint them on the road. The F Sport gets a dose of aggression thanks to the elegant 20-inch wheels. Adaptive variable suspension is also part of this cut. This system is used to monitor road conditions and automatically adjust the shock mitigation rate for maximum performance.

2021 Lexus RX Interior updates and Lexus + 2.0 safety system

The next generation 2021 Lexus RX will be updated from the inside. In general, we can expect more high-end materials and more standard features. As before, this compact all-wheel drive offers many optional features. As you might already be aware, both the standard RX 360 and RX 450h models are two-wheel drive SUVs with enough room for five passengers.

When choosing an extended L version, customers would get a small seat in the third row but still workable which would increase passenger capacity to seven. The seats are luxurious, all versions provide head and back legs. Moreover, the cargo space is impressive, with over 18 cubic feet behind the rear seats. This amount can be increased to a folding back seat of more than 56 cubic feet. The overall design is unique, but not expressive in design like Audi or BMW SUVs. The 2021 Lexus RX comes with a large 12.3-inch multimedia display, an electric tailgate, the electrically adjustable driver’s seat in 10 positions, 10 airbags, a leatherette interior, dual zone climate control, a rear view camera etc.

Safety is excellent thanks to the Lexus Safety System + 2.0 system that includes an automatic emergency braking system, adaptive cruise control, high automatic beams and a lane departure alert.

2021 Lexus RX deploys various engines

The new 2021 Lexus RX will use a few engine alternatives. The current base model 2021 Lexus RX 350 comes with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that generates 295 hp. This powertrain is also available on F-Sport. Moreover, the same engine runs on a larger version 2021 Lexus RX 350 L and loses some output due to its weights.

This model provides 290 hp. Hybrid RX 450h is still a real bargain. This model uses a 3.5-liter V6 engine, paired with a 123 kW electric motor and a standard all-wheel drive system. The total system power is 308 hp. Moreover, the larger version RX 450h L also offers the same numbers.

2021 Lexus RX Release date and Price

The upcoming 2021 Lexus RX SUV line will be updated and the factory will add more standard equipment. Besides small updates, the price of new models will remain the same. The FWD model starts from 45,000, while the F Sport starts under $ 49,000.

Moreover, the larger version that comes with three rows of seats RX 350L starts just under $ 48,500. Hybrid Lexus RX 450h is well worth the money invested as it delivers an impressive array of features and starts from $ 48,000. However, upon picking up a larger version of the hybrid car, the price will jump to $ 51,500. Lexus RX continues to undercut models like the Mercedes-Benz GLE and BMW X5.
