2021 Hyundai Creta Review – Design, Engine, Release date and Price
The all-new 2021 Hyundai Creta will be on the market by the end of the year. This seven seat SUV will be on sale in many markets. However, the South Korean manufacturer plans to primarily sell it in India as a direct competitor to Mahindra XUV500. It will be the next generation model, so expect more drastic changes.
Like Tucson, India’s Creta specifications will differ from the global model. Of course, we’re talking about a seven-seat interior, as the regular Creta offers space for five. Both the exterior and interior will get many improvements and even performance needs improvement. As a result, for a slightly larger amount, you can expect a more straight SUV.
2021 Hyundai Creta Exterior
The new generation 2021 Hyundai Creta runs on a modified K2 platform. This architecture also supports the new Kia Celtos model. In addition, it also supports the current Elantra and Verna models. The platform has been modified due to the mentioned seven-seat configuration. This means the architecture is new for a longer period, but the wheelbase remains. The increased height will help Hyundai add the third row of seats, so you can expect an extended back burden.
You can also rely on new wheels beforehand and more radical updates. This includes a new grille and redesigned headlights. The rear will now feature new taillights and a slightly bolder bumper. Finally, new roof rails are available and the surface looks more flat.
2021 Hyundai Creta Interior updates
The regular five-seat Creta continues to provide luggage space of 15.3 cubic feet. The upcoming 2021 Hyundai Creta will get the third row of seats, so don’t expect generous load capacity. On the other hand, Hyundai is working on flexible seats to improve cargo space. You can also expect slight changes in interior design.
The South Korean manufacturer also plans to add more technology and update the full hardware digital console. Additionally, you can expect a new block design. In addition, Blue Link vehicle technology has also been updated, and this SUV gets a new entertaining display.
2021 Hyundai Creta Three engine options
There will be no difference between the five-seat and seven-seat Creta models. This means that 2021 Hyundai Creta offers three engine options, a petrol and one diesel engine. Thanks to the same platform, Creta borrows Seltos 1.4-liter petrol. It can produce 113 hp and 106 lb torque.
The optional 1.5-liter petrol produces 116 hp and a torque of 184 lb. Finally, 1.5-liter diesel provides 140 hp and provides automatic transmission with torque converter. Gasoline is available with a six-speed manual or dual seven-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard on the Creta.
2021 Hyundai Creta price and release date
As we said, the new 2021 Hyundai Creta in India will compete directly with the Mahindra XUV500. There are two different versions, one with five seats and the other with seven seats. The price starts at about $ 21,000. Moreover, this model also reaches China and Europe. Sales in India will start later this year.
