2021 Chevrolet Equinox, LT Review – Design, Engine, Release date and Price
The upcoming 2021 Chevrolet Equinox will get more refreshments. GM’s best-selling SUVs will receive many upgrades. This includes many indoor and outdoor refreshments. Mechanically, Equinox will remain unchanged before 2021. However, one of the coolest parts is the sporty RS level. This treatment is already available on Traverse and Blazer models.
Equinox now has the same version. To finalize updates, Chevrolet will make minor changes to the equipment. This means that you can expect slightly more standard features than before. The new Equinox will go on sale this fall.
2021 Chevrolet Equinox Exterior changes in moderation
When it comes to external changes, the front fascia will suffer more. The new 2021 Chevrolet Equinox gets a Camaro-like look in advance. The headlights are thinner and turn signals are placed over them. In addition, the front grille has been revamped and provides a more horizontal look. At the top of the grid, the strip extends to the lights.
In addition, the fog lights are larger than before and have the same shape as the air intakes. The rear of the car provides new taillights. Premium cutting level gets new 19-inch wheels. Speaking of trim levels, the new RS color dims. This includes many dark finishes, including grille, lower body, and wheels.
2021 Chevrolet Equinox Interior updates
The interior will not be changed seriously. The only change to the basic model is the new equipment. The upcoming 2021 Chevrolet Equinox will provide automatic parking assistance, a peripheral vision camera and an adaptive cruise control. This also means that some optional features are now standard.
RS gets a special gear knob and black trim with red contrast stitching. Additionally, the arrival of the RS package means that the Midnight version is no longer available. Either way, the Sports Edition was also dropped.
2021 Chevrolet Equinox Engine specifications
If the reports are true, the new 2021 Chevrolet Equinox does not offer any upgrades under the hood. This makes this SUV mechanically a relay. The same 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine is once again the norm. It can produce 170 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque. In addition, it is connected to a six-speed automatic gearbox. The optional 2.0-liter turbocharged engine delivers more power.
The reliable power train delivers 252 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. In addition, it uses a 9-speed automatic transmission. The 2.0-liter displacement also operates the new RS trim level with the LT and Premier models. Finally, Equinox remains a front-wheel drive model. Four-wheel drive is optional on the basic trim level.
2021 Chevrolet Equinox LT
2021 Chevrolet Equinox LT is probably the best choice when considering the amount of equipment and features this model offers. Customers can choose an additional 2.0-liter turbo engine. LT features an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, SiriusXM satellite radio, high-intensity headlamps, a darker rear window, and cluster cluster display information. In addition, the potential buyer of Equinox LT faces new temptations.
We mentioned the Midnight version earlier in this review, which includes some features in black and 19-inch shiny black alloy wheels. The Confidence and Comfort package includes Blind Spot Warning, Rear Parking Assist, Reverse Warning, Two-Zone Climate Control, and much more.
There will also be an optional factory navigation system with an 8-inch touch screen and additional USB ports. We also mentioned that the exclusive three colors are available for LT and each color adds $ 1,000 to the total.
2021 Chevrolet Equinox price and release date
The next model will receive a small increase in prices. The current model starts from $ 25,000. This means that the 2021 Chevrolet Equinox will be available for around $ 26,000. According to several reliable reports, the new Equinox will go on sale this fall.
The highlight of the new model is the return to the RS trim level. However, the Midnight and Sports Package version is no longer available.
