Audi has no plans to stop Crossover lineup expansion. Finally, the Audi Q1 arrived in 2020. The crossover fits under the Q2 compact model. Just like the Q2, the 2020 Audi Q1 also works on the popular MQB platform. It will have a coupe-like design and will look elegant.

Small transfers are an ideal alternative to regular cars. So Audi’s move to introduce a new subcompact crossover has a perfect meaning. The interior will be very modern and under the hood we can expect many powertrain options. Audi Q1 was designed for 2020, so we can also expect a mixed version.

2020 Audi Q1 MQB platform

2020 Audi Q1 comes in a small crossover. It will have a coupe-like design. This means that it will borrow a lot of evidence from the Audi A1. On the other hand, some signals are similar or similar to Q2 intersection. However, Q1 runs on the MQB platform. The classic Audi grille will be sold, but it will be somewhat square.

The front accents of satin and chrome look very modern and luxurious. The rear window looks very small. However, Audi will offer a backup camera, in case. We still have to discover the full specifications of the exterior. Undoubtedly, Audi will definitely provide premium crossover.

2020 Audi Q1 interior looks familiar

Inside, the 2020 Audi Q1 looks very luxurious and modern. While we wait for official details, we can now offer familiar things. The dashboard is slightly wider, to accommodate the larger screen and larger ventilation holes. The ventilation holes look very elegant and interesting. Q1 will be similar to the Q2 model. However, it will offer different interior layouts. The list of standard and optional jobs is almost the same as in the larger Q2 model.

This means that we can expect the same safety rating or even better. There is room for five passengers. Audi says the interior will be spacious in relation to the cross section, below the edges. We still need to know how many cut levels are in the view. Certainly, the upper decorations look very distinctive and luxurious.

2020 Audi Q1 Engine specifications

Audi has not yet determined which engines will power the upcoming Q1. However, we can expect fuel-friendly options with a large number of horses. The German car manufacturer is pleased to offer a wide range of TFSI and TDI engines with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed S-Tronic automatic transmission. Thanks to the MQB system, the front wheel drive system is standardized.

The Audi Audi Quattro is available as an option. The Q1 crossover will be scheduled for 2020, so in the meantime, Audi will also announce the hybrid transmission. However, it is too early to speculate about the hybrid alternative. On the other hand, Audi will definitely provide a warmer engine with more power. However, we do not know for sure whether this engine is part of the powerful SQ1 variant. Audi still has great potential to offer a turbocharger as an option.

2020 Audi Q1 release date and price

The new subcompact crossover will arrive next summer. It’s price is still a mystery, but that’s not that great. If we know that the larger Q3 SUV starts from $ 33,000 and the Q2 is a little more expensive, the 2020 Audi Q1 begins from a similar range.

We can bet that this model will be available in the range of $ 30,000 to $ 35,000. In any case, it will be cheaper than BMW X1 or Jaguar E-Pace.
